The Rigology® is the French Laughology !
22-hours Training Session
Laughology®
is a unique training programme
created in France
in 2002 by
Corinne Cosseron, the founder of the French
School
of Laughter
and Wellness.
The
programme gathers techniques coming from all over
the world : from Indian laughter yoga, to South American play
sophrology®,
through European clown, American positive thinking, ludotherapy,
relaxation,
meditation, vizualisation, anchorage, breathing techniques…
Laughology®
is meant to restore joie de
vivre and harmony in every social field : the health
sector, the business
or social rehabilitation worlds.
Laughology®
is a comprehensive professional
training that consists of five units of five days spread over a
complete school
year, plus a compulsory training session in a firm and the writing of a
40-page
thesis dealing with a concrete application of laughology®
in society.
Each
year, Expert Laughologists defend their work
during the Zygomatic Meeting (International
symposium on the benefits of
laughter on human health) held the day before the World
Laughter Day (on
the first Sunday of May everywhere in the world) during the International
Gathering of Laughers.
Coming
at Steve Wilson’s request, Corinne Cosseron
will, for the first time ever in the U.S.,
conduct the first unit of
Laughology®.
A whole in itself, this
unit will introduce the participants to all the disciplines related to
laugholgy®.
The
22-hour training session will spread over five
mornings and will consist of 2/3 of practice and 1/3 of theory. It is
intended
to neophytes who want to discover or develop their practive of laughter
therapy,
as well as to people who work in the health, business and social
sectors, and want
to add a new tool to their kit.
The
laughologists-to-be will learn sessions of
laughology the way they are practiced in France.
Here’s a list of the
devices used: anchorage, cat stretching, yoga breathing, martial arts
stress
control, vocal warm-up, acupoints stimulation, development of the
playful
spirit and joie de vivre, games, play sophrology
from Colombia, Indian
laughter yoga, Osho’s laughter meditation, relaxation,
visualization, NLP
anchorage, clown, street laughter and hug commandos, and feed-back.
Theory
will deal with the positive philosophy of the joie
de vivre, emotional education, the appropriate role of
laughter among other
emotions, play-therapy, play sophrology and the importance of the
integration phenomenon/process
if you want to
enjoy lasting benefits from your sessions. We will also review and
explore why
some laughter clubs cannot survive even after a brilliant coming out.
We
will eventually end the week with a Laughter and
Hugs Commando, a blend of the famous “free
hugs” with public laughing
sessions. We will thus go to meet Colombus inhabitants and offer them a
warm hug
or – should they refuse it – laugh with them of
their own refusal!
We
promise you’ll be delighted with this truly
unforgetable week under the seal of laughter spirit, exchange and joie
de
vivre!
